Food

There is obviously going to be a belly full of delicious food during your Snowed Inn stay, however on our day off you are able to take to where your taste buds steer you. Our advice?

Lunch

At the base of the Luc Alphand run in Chantemerle is a little takeaway called Le Royal. It serves probably the best L'Americains we've ever had in the Alps and it is super well priced and super sized!!

La Grotte is also a good choice based at the bottom of the Mickey run in Villeneuve. It is a pub grub affair often served with some live afternoon music!

For something a little more chic, head to L'Equilibre for a lunch made for a king or for just entertainments sake, steer yourself towards Monetier for a mountain treat at Peyra-Juana which has fantastic food and an interesting host!

Dinner

The old town in Briancon is brimming with fantastic traditional cuisine from Tartiflette to Cheese Fondue. Our favourites include Le Pied de la Gargouille based at the bottom of the Grande Rue, which features a log burning fire where most meat dishes are cooked on within a rustic and traditionally French atmosphere. We also enjoy Le Gavroche which has a great atmosphere, menu and is great for seating larger groups. The best of the best is by far the incredible Au Plaisir Ambre, which serves incredible food served up by Michelin trained Michael Chassigneux.

Should you find yourself in Chantemerle we really recommend a stop at Le Loup Blanc, close to the base of the famous Luc Alpand run. Although on the pricey side you can expect quality food and service with a rich environment, and should you have room in your stomach at lunch they offer a well priced Menu de Jour. Our other favourite here is Triptyque. It is a small but mega cocktail lounge that serves up insanely good and innovative food.
