Spend 6 days with us exploring the serene mountains of Serre Chevalier,  enjoying 'you' time with a trained yoga expert twice a day, sharing healthy meals with new friends and inhaling fresh mountain air within the sunniest town in Europe.

Meet your teacher

"Hi there!  I'm Lauren, your retreat teacher at Snowed Inn!   I began teaching yoga in 2007 when living in the Canadian Rockies,  a place which also firmly cemented my love of backcountry snowboarding and the mountain life.   Since then I've had the opportunity to live and work in many countries with people of all backgrounds and ages, whilst fulfilling my passion for outdoor sports!

I believe fitness should be creative, empowering and enjoyable whether you're just starting out or have years of practice under your belt.   My yoga style encompasses Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and Kundalini:  connecting breath with movement; creating strength and freedom in the body; releasing tension from the spine and joints.

I also teach Pilates, so technical alignment and core focus feature firmly in all my classes. 
The two disciplines are the perfect partners for your body and mind.

The program for the week is specifically designed for winter sports

Morning 

Classes are dynamic and flowing:  warming the spirit to prepare you for the day ahead improving awareness in motion and increasing mobility to reduce the risk of injury.   We'll use breathing techniques to improve lung capacity and stamina. Whether you're hitting the slopes or taking a day away, you'll feel refreshed and invigorated, ready for a hearty breakfast.

Evening 

Classes are restorative:  we delve deeper into postural alignment, stretching and relaxation. The end of the day is the perfect time to pay some attention to those muscles that have been working hard. Strength and flexibility go hand in hand, so we work on creating balance through the body. A slower, concentrated pace calms the mind, preparing you for guided relaxation in savasana.

A small group is great, it means whatever your level you can feel confident and challenged, with someone to assess your practice throughout. There will be plenty of opportunity to discuss individual issues or areas you wish to develop.
